For example, the Microsoft 365 (M365) division is going through a reorg in its marketing division. ZDNet reports Microsoft has created a dedicated M365 marketing group that is headed by Corporate Vice President Jared Spataro. The new group has been in operation since July 1. Spataro has been leading the marketing three aspects of Microsoft 365: Windows 10, Enterprise Mobility + Security, and Office 365. It seems Microsoft has decided to integrate these separate marketing divisions under one roof. If you are unfamiliar with Microsoft 365, it is a bundle of products under one subscription service. Microsoft does not really like the term bundle. The company integrated all M365 services into a dedicated product last year. Microsoft has also created a new “M365 Foundations” team that will be helmed by Rob Howard. This division will tie together Office Management, Microsoft 365 Developer Platform, and Windows into a single organization. Microsoft has also moved Bernado Caldas to become the director of program management for Azure Stack within the Azure-Windows division. Caldas was previously the General Manager of M365 since its early days back in 2017.

Microsoft 365 Updates

Last month, Microsoft updated M365 with some new features. Among them were additions for the Cloud App Security, giving admins the ability to see hidden processes running on top of their IaaS and PaaS subscriptions. Microsoft also rolled out Azure AD conditional access policies to all, which lets admins control who has access to what company resources depending on how they’re accessed.
