Considering the company announced in September it will no longer add new features to Windows 10 Mobile, this Photos app is for iOS and Android. Aggionarmenti Lumia reports the app is still in development and will allow users to transfer images quickly on their smartphone. According to one source, CEO Satya Nadella met with WPP CEO Mark Read to discuss their partnership. During the discussion, he emphasized that while Microsoft is fine with WPP building apps on its platform, it also wants to enable it to build its own platform. The generally available feature consists of a new right-click feature when photo viewing. According to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, this feature is in development but is still in the earliest stages. The company thinks the payment integration in Microsoft Teams will provide organizations with a ready-to-go option for requesting and taking payments in Teams. Importantly, the feature will be an official part of Teams and not require a third party. Devices around the globe are increasingly becoming interconnected through the Internet of Things. While being able to connect to devices throughout the home or workplace, IoT has also created a huge attack surface for hackers to target. Microsoft Threat Intelligence Center says the Russian-based hacks started in April. They were likely conducted by the group known as Fancy Bear (also called Strontium). You may remember the group has been significant in supporting the Russian government with hacks such as against the Democratic National Committee in 2016....
The report claims no finalized decision has been made, although Microsoft wants to charge more to hardware with higher specifications. While it is not certain, the company has been moving towards this plan. Last year new licensing models were announced, which were based on CPU configurations. OEMs will be charged depending on the quality of components in their products. Version 0.10 of the Windows Terminal app does little to expand functionality, highlighting how Microsoft is preparing for the version 1.0 release. Still, there are some interesting new abilities added to the app. For a start, Microsoft now makes it possible to duplicate a current pane. The duplicate will create a clone of the current pane instead of defaulting to the same profile. Elsewhere in Version 0.10, Microsoft says there is now mouse support in Windows Subsystem for Linux apps....
The update was announced through Reddit by the Principal Product Manager Lead for xCloud Services Jim Cohen. If you’re unfamiliar with xCloud, before it became Xbox Cloud Gaming the service was known as Project xCloud. In his post, Cohen says Linux playing Xbox Cloud Gaming through a browser will see improved resolutions and streams will generally run smoother. The same goes for Google’s always-connected platform Chrome OS. Unfortunately, Cohen does not say what specifically Microsoft has done to boost performance....

Hicham Kabbaj of Floral Park, Long Island, New York, pleaded guilty in front of prosecutors on Friday. He admitted one charge of wire fraud and could face up to 20 years in jail. However, it is predicted federal district Judge Richard Berman will pass a more lenient sentence later this year. “Today, Mr. Kabbaj pled guilty to a serious felony because he chose to misuse his position of trust as a corporate executive to steal company funds for his own personal gain,” said Jonathan Larson, the Internal Revenue Service special agent in charge of the case....
